"... .. So the question starts from this, there are types of symptom, which is a clinic. But look: this is from before the analytic discourse and if it brings a light but not sure this is true. "

Jacques Lacan, from the German introduction of a first volume of the Writings. October 7, 1973, published in the journal Scilicet No. 5, Paris, 1975, ps 11-17. (Emphasis added)

"The analysis is not one to be released from his" symptoms "(" sinthome "), since that is how I write" Symptom "(sic). The analysis consists in knowing why you are involved in this: it occurs because there is the symbolic. "

1 - Background:

The ultimate ethical question is: "What do we do when we do what we do."
Lacan said that the analyst must also pay with a trial on his action.
In psychoanalysis is not possible to dissociate the theory and practice of therapy, since "the psychoanalyst no further, beyond any material, which can forward that when it feels founded to perform their responsibilities."
addition, "the analyst's training, requires knowledge, in the process leading his patient, around which the movement unfolds. Be aware, you must pass, and experience, that as he moves.: The analyst's desire. "
If training does not become something on the order of the ceremony, but rather for the practice of psychoanalysis is not, should be communicated to them that point axis on which it moves. That point
axis is the desire, by which the element applies force behind what was first formulated in the discourse in patient demand, namely the transfer. The axis, the point of this double ax, is the desire of the analyst. The Seminario11
, Lacan reproposes work on foundations of psychoanalysis. There, he said that a seminar is a way to work on the foundations in particular. Ie: via Lacan Seminar tries to establish a practice.
In the university, including a work practice that allows critical thinking. I propose to explore themes as the basis of analytic practice in the light of current debates in the field of psychoanalysis. Lacan called Theoretical Practice one of the sections of the school he founded, suggested there reading the texts of contemporary analysts. Investigate how the analysts write or speak of psychoanalysis today, we will try to "do" as Lacan and Freud, and not imitate.
